We say this to all of our clients... SEO takes time (and a lot of effort).
But that's not to say you can't, at least, slightly improve your site's ranking on Google within a few weeks or months.
Even if you don't immediately skyrocket to the top of a search, consistent small improvements will not only be recognized by the algorithm, but they will also enhance the overall customer experience on your website.
Understandably, many business owners don't have the time to meticulously plan their SEO strategy and then act on it weekly. In reality, it often takes years of being in business to achieve a top 3 (or even first page) result on Google for a competitive keyword or search term.
However, no need to fear. Today, we'll be giving you three quick tips that will help your websites visibility on Google, while also improving the site's experience in general.

1. Optimize Page Titles + Meta Descriptions
One of the easiest ways to instantly improve your Google ranking is to optimize your page titles and meta descriptions. Most websites don’t realize how important these two elements are for search engine optimization. Page titles are often overlooked or left too vague, while meta descriptions are either missing entirely or stuffed with irrelevant keywords.
It seems like this is such an easy first step, but funny enough, we see it on nearly every businesses website. Is this an overlook by the busy owner? Maybe. Is the overseas website designer you hired not living up to their expectations? Maybe. Regardless of the reasoning, fixing your titles and descriptions is a sure fire way to get on the right track.
The first thing we do when analyzing a clients website is take a look at the titles and descriptions. Google uses both page titles and meta descriptions to understand what your page is about, and when done correctly, this can give you an edge in search results.
For page titles, it's important to use keywords that reflect the content on the page while keeping the title within 50-60 characters. If it’s too long, Google may truncate it, which means potential visitors won’t see the full title in the search results. Meta descriptions, on the other hand, should be compelling enough to entice users to click but also accurate in reflecting the page’s content. Google recommends keeping meta descriptions under 155 characters to avoid being cut off in search results.
Additionally, search engines prefer when your title, meta description, and actual content all align. This consistency signals to Google’s algorithm that your page is relevant to the search query, which can help boost your rankings. If your page titles or descriptions don’t match the content, you’re missing out on valuable SEO opportunities, not to mention confusing potential visitors. All said and done, it's massively important to create the right descriptions
